James Donald Lohse, age 51, of Plantersville, Texas passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2025. He was born on March 15, 1974, in Hearne, Texas. Bubba (as he was affectionately called by all who knew him) was known for his larger-than-life personality, sense of humor, and his love for family and friends.

He was preceded in death by:

• grandparents, Lonnie and Louise Broadus;
• aunt, Kathy Jones;
• uncle, Robert Smith; and
• sister, Carla Maynard.

He is survived by:

• son, Dustin Lohse;
• mother, Shirley Broadus;
• father, Eddie Lohse;
• siblings Danny Lohse and wife Tiffany (nieces – Harley and Tori; nephew - Hunter);
• Samantha Watson (nieces – Cass, Paige, Veronica, Sabrina, Savannah; nephews – Brett, Preston, and Joshua);
• Judy Comfort and husband Edward (nieces – Briana and Alexa; nephews – Austin
and Joseph);
• Coty Lohse;
• Steve Shropshire and wife Lisa (niece – Shara; nephew – Derek);
• Michelle Granger (nephew – Caleb);
• Lee Granger and wife Tina (niece – Sierra; nephew – Marshall); and
• numerous cousins that were more like siblings and a host of other family and
friends.

A memorial will be held at Connecting Point Church on Saturday, September 27 at 1:00 p.m. (doors open at 12:15) (410 Harvey Rd., College Station) with a meal/fellowship to follow at The Grove Event Venue from 3:00-6:00 p.m. (2775 Barron Road, College
Station). Please bring a covered dish.
