James Alber Firth entered eternal life on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the age of 81 years. He was born on November 22, 1941 in Baytown, Texas to parents, Leonard Alber and Elma Elfreda Sauer Firth.
James received his education in Channelview, Texas and was a mechanic before his retirement and was of the Christian faith. He made his home in New Baden for the past 40 years. James liked to hunt and fish. He had a passion for airplanes and flying his remote-controlled aircraft. He also loved electronic trains and enjoyed being the conductor for his miniature train layout. James was very kind hearted and was always willing to help others. He was best described as being a very good brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Elma Elfreda Firth and his grandparents, Fred and Ethel Mae Sauer and Leonard and Frances Firth.
He is survived by his brothers, Leonard F. Firth of Navasota and David Lynn Firth of New Baden; his nephews and nieces: Leonard Firth, Jr., Angie Honerkamp, Richard Firth, Darian Firth and Sarah Firth.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin. Burial will follow in the New Baden Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
