Heaven gained another angel on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, Irene Couch Boswell.  Irene, born December 19, 1923, was a lifetime resident of Hearne, Robertson County and was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Hester Mahan of Elliott.

Irene married Olen William Couch on October 28, 1944.  They shared a life of adventure, travel, and worked side by side in their business and farm.  They had 5 daughters: Dottie Couch Miller (deceased), Carolyn Couch Henson, Gail Couch Baker (deceased), Linda Couch Weaver, and Nelda Couch Calhoun.  She has 2 sons-in-law; Billy Don Weaver and James Earl Calhoun.  O.W. Couch passed away September 1995.  Irene married a class sweetheart, Ancel Boswell in January 2000.  They shared a wonderful life together in their golden years.  Ancel passed away October 2018.

"Mamarene" known by all has 13 grandchildren 25 Great Grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Mamarene loved her grandchildren and loved traveling and spoiling them.  Every new baby born was a sparkle in her life.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Hearne followed by the funeral services at 2:00 pm with Pastor James Hooper officiating.  Burial will follow at Norwood Cemetery.
