Helen Jane Barnett went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the age of 88.  She was born on October 23, 1937, in Anderson, Texas, to parents, Stash and Mary Pasket.

Helen received her education in Navasota schools and married her husband of 55 years, Elvin R. Barnett Sr., in Houston, Texas in May 1959.  She was a devout Catholic, all her life.

She was employed with Nabisco (National Biscuit Company) for 43 ½ years before her retirement.  She and her husband purchased land in Franklin but continued to live in Houston until 2000 when they moved to Franklin to retire.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Stash and Mary Pasket and her husband, Elvin R. Barnett Sr.; siblings, Steve Pasket, Rosalie Zavodny, Albert Pasket and Marion Pasket; grandson, Jonathan Lenz and great grandson, Carter Addison.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter and son-in-law, Karen, and Gary Perrard of Magnolia; sons and daughters-in-law, Elvin R. Barnett, Jr. and Jonetta Barnett of Magnolia and Don and Stephanie Barnett of Franklin; brother, Will Pasket of Stephenville, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Franklin with a visitation held from 9:30 A.M. -10:45 A.M. at the church.  Father Yu will officiate. A burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery in Franklin.  A visitation with family will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
