Gary Ronald Walker of Franklin, Texas passed away on November 3, 2023 at home surrounded by his loved ones.
Gary was born on January 5, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas and devoted his life to serving his community. He was a Camp Creek Patrolman for 18 years, after dedicating 25 years of his life to the Austin Fire Department. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army. Gary was married to his wife, Teddi, for 60 years. He was a jack of all trades and was known for lending a helping hand to many. Friends and family often shared stories of spending time with him in his shop, drinking a beer.
Gary is survived by his Wife Teddi Walker, Sister Bunny Sims (husband Henry Sims); Son Gary Walker (wife Kristine Keeney); Son Greg Walker (wife Sandra Walker); Daughter Sarah Carrell (husband Troy Carrell); Granddaughter Amanda Bohan; Grandson Jeremy Walker; Grandson Donovan Walker; Granddaughter Emalee Holloway (husband Clayton Holloway); Granddaughter Megan Keesler; Granddaughter Reese Carrell; Great grandsons Eli and Dylan Bohan. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Recil and Mary Walker.
A memorial service for Gary will be held on Saturday, November 11th at the Ray Brodin Building, from 1:30 to 3:30pm, at Camp Creek Lake. Family and friends are invited to come and honor Gary's memory.
