Gary Lee Puska was born on August 23, 1947 in Magnolia, Arkansas to George and Maxine Buchanan Puska.  He passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 in Groesbeck, Texas at the age of 73.

Gary was a 1965 graduate of Franklin High School and was a member of the Frankin Lions football team. He was employed with GTE-Verizon for 30 years before his retirement.  He married Sally Walker on October 9, 1998 in San Angelo, Texas.  Gary was of the Baptist faith.

Gary was respected and loved by all who knew him.  He was called a great friend and was always there to lend a helping hand or give advice when needed. He had a huge heart and a passion for coon hunting.  He loved his family and will be missed by the many lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Barnett; sister, Elizabeth Ann Puska; father, George Puska and step-father, Raymond Barnett.

He is survived by: Wife of 22 years, Sally Puska of Lake Limestone; step-daughters, Kimberly Key and Rick Unfred of Grand Junction, Co. and Angelina Brock of Moab, Utah; step-brothers, Charles Barnett of New Baden and Richard Barnett of Franklin; Grandchildren, Felicia Ellison of Franklin and Jacqueline Wood of Rockdale

A private family service will be held.
