Garry Wayne Lay, Sr., 70, of Liberty Hill, Texas entered eternal life on October 31, 2023. He was born on September 9, 1953 to parents, Robert and Nora Jane Everett Lay.

Garry received his education from Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena. He was employed as a machinist with Percision Machining in Leander before his retirement. Garry was a resident of Liberty Hill for the past 15 years and was of the Christian faith.
Garry was a devoted son, brother and father. He was caregiver to his mother until her death. He loved God and read his Bible. While Garry kept to himself most of the time, he did enjoy visiting with family and friends at family gatherings. Nothing soothed his soul more than being outdoors camping, fishing, and swimming in the lake. He will be remembered by his family of having a unique character and his presence will be missed by many.

Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nora Jane Lay; step-father, Milton Reeves; brothers, Bobby Lay and Daniel Lay and his sister, Brenda Reeves.

Garry leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Garry Lay, Jr.; his sister, Carolyn Powell and a host of other relatives.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Easterly Cemetery 9259 E. US Hwy 79 Franklin, Texas 77856.
