Gail Mary Petersen was born on September 4, 1951, in Queens, New York, to parents, Louis and Louise Campbell Osborne.  She entered eternal life on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Sugarland, Texas at the age of 73.

Gail married her husband, David Petersen in October of 1969. She had been a resident of Richmond for the past 25 years and was of the Christian faith.

Gail took great pride in taking care of her home and her family. She was a loving wife and companion to David for 55 years and a wonderful mother and grandmother as well.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was always there to help fulfill their needs. Gail also loved spending her time sewing counted cross stitch. She will be missed by her family, but they take comfort in knowing that she's resting peacefully now and one day they will see her again.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Louise Osborne and her son, David Seay Petersen, III.

Left behind to cherish her memory, her husband David Petersen, Jr., daughter, Jennifer Garnica of Richmond, grandson, Carlos Garnica.  She is also survived by her loyal companion, Gracie.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, Texas.  Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
