G. Holton Ingram, Jr. was born July 21, 1939 to Ruby (Colter) Ingram and G. Holton Ingram, Sr. He passed away March 5, 2015 at the age of 75. He was a life-long resident of Franklin, Texas and a 1957graduate of Franklin High School. He received an English degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville in 1961.
He married Mary Elizabeth Adams on March 14, 1964. They had 2 children, Christopher Holton Ingram and Elizabeth Nicole Ingram.
Holton's parents instilled in him a strong work ethic and he followed his father into the cattle and ranching. He also enjoyed raising watermelons for many years and was the previous owner of the Calvert Commission Company. Holton also served as a board member of First National Bank of Franklin. Holton was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents and both his children Chris and Nicole.
He is Survived by his 2 grandchildren, Steven Todd Johnson and Cody Ingram Johnson. He is also survived by a host of other relatives.
Todd and Cody will carry on their "Big Daddy's" ranching legacy.
A graveside service for Holton Ingram will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Franklin City Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Sanders will officiate.
