Obituary

Francis Philip "Sarge" Comly entered into his heavenly home on Friday, December 27, 2019 in Caldwell, Texas at the age of 74 years.  He was born on September 1, 1945 in Camden, New Jersey to his parents, Anna Catherine Doyle Comly and Paul Preston Comly.

Francis served in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War receiving several medals including the National Defense Service Medal, Marksman medal, Veteran Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.  He married his wife, Janice Lee Collar on November 14, 1981 in Bryan, Texas. Francis spent 39 years of his life living in the Brazos Valley and was employed with the City of Bryan before his retirement. He also served as a Franklin volunteer firefighter for a number of years.  He was a member of the Skybreak Church in College Station.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Sisters, Louise Comly, Edna Mikeska and Mary O'Neill.

Francis is survived by his wife of 38 years, Janice Lee Comly of Bryan, Daughter, Tina Wilson Craver of Bryan, Sons and daughters-in-law; David and Lisa Wilson of Ft. Worth, Martin Comly of College Station, Murray and Crystal Comly of Littleton, North Carolina and Robert and Tanya Comly of  Victoria, Virginia, Sister, Marie Mayfield of Corpus Christi, Brothers; Paul Comly of Cedar Park and Phillip Comly of Franklin, 17 Grandchildren, 4 great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin.  Burial with military honors will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
