Florence P. Friend, 81, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 in Bryan, Texas. She was born on May 31, 1935 in Bedias, Texas to William T. and Mattie Plaster. Florence was employed with First National Bank in Madisonville as Vice President before her retirement. She had been a resident of Franklin for the past 15 years previously living in Madisonville. Florence was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the First Baptist Church in Franklin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jackson Friend and son, Jackie Lee Friend.

She is survived by:

Daughter- Phyllis Meyer and friend Doug Sweeney of Santa Fe

2 Grandsons- Jason Meyer and Matt Meyer both of Santa Fe

1 Great Grandson- Jack Meyer of Santa Fe

Services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bedias Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
