Eugene  "Gene" Albert Kopetsky was born on July 29, 1940 in Jacksonville, Florida to Albert A. and Della Sodek Kopetsky.  He passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at his home at the age of 78 years.

He was a 1958 graduate of Bryan High School.  On May 25, 1963 he married the love of his life, Laura Ann McAnally.  He was employed with DuPont Chemical Company for 34 years before his retirement. He was a resident of Franklin for the past 20 years previously living in Baytown.  Gene was a member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Della Kopetsky; sister, June Reamer; Special friends, Gary Griggs, Bill Lys, Donald Lys and Edward Rumfield

He is survived by:

Many Cousins and Good Friends

Services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Franklin.  A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. – service time at the Church.  Burial will follow in the Wheelock Cemetery.
