Enrique Rojas, Sr, 90, of Bryan, Texas peacefully passed away into Jesus' loving arms on August 12, 2023 after failing health issues.
Enrique was born in LaPiedad, Michoacan, Mexico to Joaquin Rojas and Isabel Rojas (Castillio) on November 4, 1932.
Enrique migrated by himself to the U.S. as the young age of 15…
On January 15, 1949 he entered into marriage to Angelica Coronado. They were blessed with 52 years of marriage with Angelica passing in April 2001.
Enrique worked as a migrant worker for many years before finding employment at Alma Products of Alma, Michigan. After leaving his work in Alma, Enrique worked for a time at Fisher Body in Lansing, Michigan. He set a great example of a hardworking man to support his family. He will be missed dearly by all who loved and adored him.
Enrique's hobbies were his farm in North Star, Michigan and then his ranch in Franklin, Texas. He enjoyed deer hunting with his wife, children and grandkids in Northern Michigan and southern Texas.
Enrique was an active devout Catholic involved in El Cursillo, marriage encounter, choir ministry, echuristic minister and was enthroned as a Carmelite with the devotion to the brown scapular. He was dedicated to praying his daily devotions throughout his life.
Enrique was predeceased by his wife, Angelica, his parents, stepmother Maria Luis Rojas (Huaracha), daughter Elenita, son Jorge, granddaughters Dora and Dana Mae, grandson Joaquin, son in law Robert Dorsey, brother Monsignor Ruben Rojas, sisters Elena, Victoria, Aurora and Eva Rojas.
Enrique is survived by his sister Josefina Rojas, daughter Susy Dorsey (Rojas), sons Enrique Rojas Jr (Marsha), Jouaquin Rojas (Arletta), Ruben Rojas (Judy), Felix Rojas, daughter-in-law Maria Rojas.
Enrique is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Mexico. Enrique held all dearly in his heart and he was loved an adored by all.

A Christian Mass of burial will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Franklin, Texas. Burial will follow in the Wheelock Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 6:00 -8:00 P.M. with a rosary recited at 7 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
