Elvin Ray Barnett, 75, of Franklin, Texas passed away on February 6, 2014 in College Station, Texas. He was born on September 2, 1938 in the Elliott Community of Robertson County to Samuel Alton Barnett and Edna Lorene Gandy Barnett. He attended Franklin High School and married Helen Pasket on May 20, 1959. Mr. Barnett was retired from Lance, Inc. where he was employed as a route salesman for 38 years.
He had been a resident of Franklin for the past 13 years previously living in Houston. Mr. Barnett was a member of the Elliott Baptist Church and Sons of Herman Lodge 1. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Duane Barnett.

Brothers – Charles Barnett and Wife, Marie of Elliott,
Glen Barnett and wife, Pat of Elliott
9 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren
Services will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Elliott Baptist Church. Rev. Dale Wells will officiate. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 4-7 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin, Texas.
