Elva Elena Ramos

September 12, 1936 – December 2, 2022

Elva went to see Jesus on December 2, 2022. She was a long-time resident of Franklin, Texas.

She worked in Corpus Christi for a hospital as a nutritionist for many years before moving to Franklin. She worked at the Pioneer Café and then the Cutrate store.

Her last job was at Dairy Queen for many years before retiring. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her extended family. She also was a long-time member of her church in Easterly, Texas and enjoyed spending her time at church.

Preceding her in death are her mother, Lydia Garza, stepfather Mateo Garza, and biological father Antonio Ramos, her sister Mary Elida Martinez, and brother-in-law Pablo S. Martinez. Also preceding her death are her nephews, Michael Steve Martinez and William Martinez, and her great-nephew, Robert Allen Martinez.

She is survived by Mary Lydia Penilla of Taylor, Texas, Robert and Bonnie Martinez of Franklin, Texas, Roy and Tricia Martinez of Franklin, Texas, Nelda and Kelly Warner of Huntsville, Texas, and Laura and Teddy Beck of Franklin, Texas, numerous great nieces, nephews, great-great nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 10:30 a.m.
