Eddie Bill (Junior) Embra, Jr. was born on June 22, 1947 to Eddie Bill and Aline Embra, Sr. and was the oldest of three children in Franklin, Texas.

He attended US Morgan high School where he graduated and then drafted into the United States Army.  Eddie served two years in the Army and returned home to Texas and worked for Alcoa for five years.

After leaving Alcoa, Eddie moved to Michigan where he was employed as a General Manager for General Motors for twenty-nine years before his retirement.

He gave his life to Christ at an early age and attended church in Michigan.

Eddie met and married Julia Ann Davis and they remained married until her death.  To this union, two daughters were born, Edna and Eileen Embra.

On January 3, 2023, Eddie Transitioned his earthly life to be with the Lord.  He was surrounded by his three daughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Aline Embra, Sr., his late wife Julia Ann and his daughter Julia Marie.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving three daughters; Edna Yelland of Detroit, Michigan, Anissa (David) Wilburn-Embra of Rockdale, Texas, and Eileen (Roshumere) Mills of Kalamazoo, Michigan; brother, Donald (Hazel) Embra and a sister, Virginia (Gerald) Smith; Ten grandchildren: Terri Grier, Tahmara Grier, Kamryn Breuhan, Koneiko (Amanda) Nelson, Excell Nelson, Edward (Marissa) Dansby, Jr., Anthony Dansby, Keontae Embra-Hobbs and Kiara Embra-Hobbs, Jeremy Steele;  five great grandchildren and special granddaughter, Jamila Steel and God Sister, Geneva Niles.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, cousins and step-children.

The family of Eddie Bill Embra, Jr. would like to invite you to a home going celebration that will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the North New Hope Baptist Church 817 North Sharp Street in Franklin, Texas.  Burial will follow in the North and South Cemetery in Franklin, Texas.  A reception will be held at the Pridgeon  Community Center in Franklin immediately following burial for anyone that would like to stop by and visit with Eddie's family.

Perhaps you sent a card, flowers or made a call or came by. The family would like to sincerely thank you for your love and support during this difficult time.  We would like to thank Centrica Hospice Care for their continued love and support for our loved one.  May God Bless you and keep you, Amen.
