Dorothy Bray Wylie, 81, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in Robertson County. She was born March 19, 1930 at home to George Preston Bray and Clarcia Mae Richardson Bray. She married Luther Allen Wylie in January 1947. She and her late husband were ranchers most of their lives in the Willow Creek Community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, J.W. Bray, sister, Ruby Wylie, son, Roger Wylie, and grandson, Ronnie Wylie.
She is remembered and loved by her daughters, Tisha Emert of Valley View and Brenda McKenzie of Hewitt; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one niece; a great niece and great nephew; and many friends and family who were blessed to have known her.
She was known for her hard work as she continued to tend cows at the age of 81 but the joy of her life was her family. She enjoyed being "Granny" and was excited about each new addition to our family. To us, Granny was special because she made us feel special.
She was a longtime member of the Bald Prairie Church of Christ. Friends and family are invited to the visitation Friday at 10:00 A.M. and attend the funeral following at 11:00 A.M. at Bald Prairie Church of Christ.
