Dorothy Forson Brooks, 88, of
Franklin, Texas passed away
Monday, February 28, 2011 in
Bryan. Services are set for 11
a.m. Thursday, March 3, at
Henry Prairie Baptist Church,
with the Rev. Louie Walston officiating.
Burial will follow in
the Henry Prairie Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8
p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at
McCauley Funeral Home in
Franklin.
She was born on February 7,
1923 in Morgan Mill, Texas to
Edward Bell and Bernice Lusk
Forson. She attended Franklin
Schools and was a homemaker.
She was a lifelong resident of
Franklin and a 75-year member
of the Henry Prairie Baptist
Church. She was also a lifetime
member of the Ladies Auxiliary
to VFW Post No. 9873.
Dorothy was preceded in death
by her parents; husband, Clifton
Albert Brooks; grandson, John
Milberger; and brother, E.B.
Forson.
She is survived by her daughters,
Dorothy Milberger and
husband, Lionel, of Wheelock,
Jean Baker and Howard Monroe
of Bryan, Nelda McClure and
husband, William, of Lovelady,
Marilyn Plagens and Billy, of
Franklin; sons, Wayne Brooks
and wife, Patricia, of Franklin,
Bobby Brooks of Jacksonville;
14 grandchildren, 17
great-grandchildren, and one
great-great-grandchild.
The family would like to extend
their heartfelt thanks to her caregivers,
Rebecca Thomas, Jo Eddie
Gaines, Joyce Proctor and
the staff and Lampstand Health
Center for the special care given
to Dorothy.
