Don William Tepera was born on February 12, 1949 in Cameron, Texas to parents, Ben and Aline Glaser Tepera. He entered eternal life on Thursday, September 23, 2021 in Bryan, Texas at the age of 72 years.
Don received his education in Cameron. He was a United States Airforce Veteran serving in Japan during the Vietnam War. He married his loving wife, Vicki on June 22, 1989 in Bryan, Texas. Don was employed with Verizon for twenty-six years before his retirement. He was a resident of Franklin for the past thirty-two years previously living in College Station.
Don was a simple man that loved his family, deeply. He could be fun loving and put a smile on anyone's face with his sense of humor. Don was also a very good listener with a sympathetic ear and was always available to give advice to the one's that needed it. Don always made it known that his home was opened to whomever was in need. He loved his dogs, grandkids and especially "his girls". He will be missed dearly by all that loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Aline Tepera and half-sister, Delores "Dolly" Malone
He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Vicki Tepera of Franklin; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Kimberly Tepera of Franklin, Claudia and Ty Pyburn of Spring and Brandi and Owen Knightof Franklin; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Kevin and Sarah Tepera of New Baden, Keith and Courtney Tepera of Atlanta, Georgia and Cody Tepera of Franklin; 10 Grandchildren, Blayne Tepera, Dylan Tepera, Jessica Paskey and husband Matt, Travis Killough, Alyssa Killough, Payton Pyburn, Colton Wilkerson, Andrew Wilkerson, McKenzie Kinney and McKayla Kinney; two great grandchildren, Marcus Paskey and Michael Paskey; Sister, Janell Tepera of Lewisville; half-brothers, Ben Tepera, Jr. of Baytown and Daniel Tepera of Houston;
Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the First Baptist Church New Baden, Texas. Freddy Burden will officiate. Burial will follow in the Henry Prairie Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Lupus Foundation of America
