Diane Key Linkenhoker was born on June 19, 1943 in Cordova, Alabama to her parents, Milford and Hazel Fikes Key. She entered eternal life on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at her home with her family by her side at the age of 78 years.
Diane received her education at Cordova High School in Cordova, Alabama. She was employed for twenty-five years as an administrative assistant for the City of Houston Public Works before her retirement.
She married her loving husband, George Linkenhoker on December 16, 1994 in Houston, Texas.
Diane was a resident of Calvert for the past twenty-four years previously living in San Leon, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Calvert. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Eastern Star as well as the founder of the Calvert Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milford and Hazel Key and her grandson, Amory McCann.
Diane is survived by her husband of twenty-seven years, George Linkenhoker of Calvert; Daughters, Gillian Monypenny of Cypress and Heather Greer of Roundrock; Sons and daughters-in-law, John and Wendy Key of Franklin and Dana and Lyndy Key of Vernal, Utah; brother, Dana Key of Columbia, Tennessee; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her niece, Liz Butler; cousins, Vicki Wallis and Carol Leeds and her best friend and neighbor, Lorrie Quimby and other relatives and friends.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
