Diana Woodward, 78, of  New Baden, Texas passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, April 29, 2019 in College Station, Texas.

She was born on February 16, 1941 in Denton, Texas to Dee Roy Knox and Effie Geneva Littrell.  Diana was a graduate of William Adams High School in Alice, Texas and Sam Houston State University.  She married Ray Allen Woodward on November 10, 1961 in Alice. They were married for almost 55 years when he preceded her in death on May 4, 2016.  Diana was employed most of her life as a secretary.  She was also a wonderful mother to her two children as well as a wonderful "Gran" to all of her grandchildren.  Diana was a resident of the New Baden Community for more than thirty years.  She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church, Franklin, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dee Roy and Effie Geneva Knox; her husband, Ray Allen Woodward and sisters, Monna Jean Knox and Rowena Hackfield.

6 Grandchildren – Ashli Cox and husband Marcus, Cheyenne Metzer and husband Tim, Colton Degelia and wife, Karianna, Shaeley Degelia, Kacey Degelia and wife Kaydie and Ryder Woodward

6 Great Grandchildren – Grayson Kindt, Kaytlan Kindt, Jaylen Fisher, Madelyn Metzer, Mason Cox and Jaxon Cox

Services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church, Franklin, Texas.  Dr. Ted Elmore will officiate.  Burial will follow in New Baden Cemetery.  A visitation will be held at McCauley Funeral Home on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 P.M.
