Cresencia Torres
Perez
Jun 15, 1926 — May 14, 2020
Cresencia Torres Perez was born to Juan and Paulina Torres on June 15, 1926. She was a lifelong member of the Franklin community. She was the epitome of what motherhood should be. She had a heart of gold and was completely devoted to her family. She was a devout member of the Catholic faith and was a faithful servant until the end. She was a joyful woman who always welcomed friends and strangers with a smile. Cresencia had a spirit that could light up the room and a sense of humor that could cheer anyone up.
She had a nurturing spirit which allowed her to successfully raise thousands of chickens and grow abundant gardens throughout her lifetime. She was a wonderful cook and made delicious dishes from the food she grew. Cresencia also created intricately beautiful crocheted pieces. She sewed clothing, quilts, and blankets for herself, her children, and grandchildren. She put love into everything she made.
She had a spirit that wouldn't quit and learned to make the most of every situation. Her family greatly benefited from her talents and they treasured the gifts she brought into their lives. God surely blessed the Perez and Torres families when he created Cresencia. Her presence in this world will be greatly missed and her absence will be deeply felt from this day forward. Her love will live on in the ones she leaves behind. She was the queen of her family and now she has earned her crown of glory in heaven. She is preceded in death by her parents, numerous siblings, her husband and her son Lorenzo. She leaves behind her sister Marcela Torres, her son Ascension Perez and wife Odelia, her son John Perez and family, and numerous nieces and nephews from Houston, California, and Mexico. She will be missed greatly by her 7 grandchildren (Monica, Teresa, Daniel, Jeannie, Nikki, Chris and Lori) and her beloved great grandchildren too.
Special thanks to Encompass Health Hospice staff, especially, Gina and RoTaurus for their exceptional care to our loved one.
