Clifton Allen "Bubba" Bates, 71, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in Bryan, Texas. He was born on March 21, 1941 in Franklin, Texas to Omie Bates and Irene Merryman Bates. He married Virginia Ann Little on May 9, 1969 in Calvert, Texas. Mr. Bates was retired from Robertson County Precinct #3 as a Heavy Equipment Operator and formerly worked at R.B. Butler in Bryan, Texas. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Catherine Perkins.

Terry Bates of Palestine

1 Great Grandchild – Carson Bates

Services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 6-8 pm at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
