FORT WORTH - Clarice Louise Johnson Merryman passed in to the arms of her Lord Tuesday evening, Jan. 29, 2013, during her 91st year.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Bald Prairie Church of Christ in Robertson County. Following the service, she will be laid to rest next to her husband, J.T. in the Bald Prairie Cemetery. Family and friends will be received at McCauley Funeral Home, Franklin, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Born March 5, 1921 in Robertson County, Clarice was the daughter of Cecil and Mamie Belle Johnson. She married J. T. Merryman on March 30, 1940; they made their home in Texas City for 60 years.
Clarice was a long time member of Mainland Church of Christ in Texas City. She retired from Monsanto Chemical after 30 years of service with the company.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Vivian Johnson.
Survivors: In addition to her sons and their wives, Derrell and Sherry Merryman of Texas City and Gary and Sharlene Merryman of Fort Worth, Clarice was blessed with five grandchildren, who cherish her memory; a legacy of nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; six foster grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nick and Kay Johnson and Wendell and Jean Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
