Obituary

Christopher Joseph Hidrogo was born February 6 th , 1979 in Hearne, Texas to Joe and Dalia Hidrogo. He went to his heavenly home February 13 th , 2022 at the age of 43.

Chris, as he was known, was a 1997 graduate of Franklin High School where he received multiple awards for his outstanding athleticism in baseball and football. Chris was a lifelong resident of Franklin. He was employed with Pioneer Wells Services for many years up until he was called home.

As people would describe Chris they would say he was a gentle giant with a smile you couldn't forget. He never met a stranger; he would always make a point to stop and talk to you. Chris had a big heart for everybody. He was caring even on his busiest days, if you asked for help he would make it happen.  Chris was a fun person to be around. He always had you laughing, but he also liked to trash talk and told you things you didn't want to hear. Don't tell him he couldn't do something, because he would be sure to prove you were wrong. Chris was a great friend. He would give his shirt off his back.

Chris loved life. He would always want to go somewhere. He loved the outdoors. You would find him either around a bonfire or behind the pit barbequing listening to his music. He referred himself as the pit master. Sometimes he would be gone all day fishing and come back as red as a lobster, but he wasn't going anywhere until he caught something. If he didn't catch off the boat, you would see him casting off the pier and would have several other poles setup along the bank. He was determined. That's who Chris was.  He enjoyed life and had a lot life to live.

Chris was a family man. He loved big. He loved his family very much. He was a proud uncle, the best older brother anyone could have, an amazing son and a best friend.

He is survived by his parents, Joe & Dalia Hidrogo; son, Brayden Carter; Two grandsons, Ace and Ayden Carter; Brothers, Michael Hidrogo (Jennifer) and Tony Hidrogo (Essie); sister, Cassy Hidrogo (Bruce); nephews: Jayden, Kai, Kobe, Devyn and Bryce; nieces, Brooklyn, Braylee, Audrina and Baily; Numerous of Aunts, Uncles, cousins and good friends.  He is also survived by his grandmother, Amelia Lopez and the mother of his child, Summer Metting
