Obituary

Charles "Buddy" Currey of Bryan went to be with the lord on July 18, 2021 at the age of 74 years. He was born to Nell and Pete Currey January 25, 1947 in Pasadena, Texas.

He passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife of 50 years Cheryl by his side. They were married April 17, 1970 and have been devoted to each other ever since. They had three beautiful children David, Pamela, Carol and many other "adopted" children they took under their wing. He and Cheryl are looked up to by many because of their wonderful loving marriage.

Buddy was a Vietnam Veteran, serving two tours with the US Navy on the USS Chicago and USS Preble. He held pride in his days as a medic assistant at Da Nang Hospital in Vietnam. He told his family a lot of interesting stories of things he saw in the many different countries. His absolute favorite thing to do was ride his beloved Harley Davidson. He and Cheryl spent many miles riding together and saw a lot of beautiful scenery along the way. They loved to tell their granddaughter (and anyone else who would listen) about all their treasured memories of their riding days.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Currey of Bryan He is also survived by Son and daughter-in-law, David Currey and  Chrissie Holliday of Bryan; Granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Jessica and Zachary Jones of college Station and two great grandchildren, Brynlee and Rhett Jones of college station. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and many other loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nell and Pete Currey; his big sister, Ruby Currey-Vinson; his two daughters, Pamela and Carol Currey; his grandparents and many other special friends and family.

Services will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Henry Prairie Baptist Church.  A visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the church on Friday.  Burial will follow in the Henry Prairie Cemetery.
