Charles William "Bill" King, Jr., was born in Poca, West Virginia on May 24, 1940 to Charles William King, Sr. and Effie Baily King. His siblings included Ruth Bonnett, Jean Harrison, Kay Sikes, and Willadean Pleasants.
He left West Virginia and entered the US Army and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska after attending boot camp in Kentucky. While in the army, he obtained his GED. After leaving the army he returned to West Virginia for a short time before moving to Florida where his sisters, Jean and Kay were living at the time. He did construction work while in Florida and also in Houston during the mid-1960's when business was booming there. He later moved to Bellville in 1974 and then settled in Franklin in 1975. He continued construction work in and around Franklin until his death on April 29, 2016. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, friends and life. He never married and is survived by his sister, Willadean and several nieces and nephews.
