Charlene Bush, 83, of Franklin, passed away on March 8. During an almost fifty-year period from early 1952 until late 2000, Charlene was a faithful public official who was Robertson County Tax Deputy and Tax Assessor-Collector.

A lifelong member of the Franklin Church of Christ, Charlene was born on June 6, 1933 to Agnes and Charlie Bush. In addition to her parents, all of Charlene's siblings preceded her in death. These include: Marjorie (Mrs. Daleford) Towns, Lois (Mrs. Bill) Brunette, Vernell (Mrs. Taylor) Morgan, Woodrow Bush, and Glenn Bush. She was also preceded in death by niece Kathy Pierce and nephew Terry Bush.

Brother-in-law Taylor Morgan survives her. Surviving nieces and nephews include: Mary Schultz, Susan Meadors, Lisa Sanders, Butch Morgan, Carol Broadus, Kent Brunette, Teresa Schultz, Mike Bush, and Pat Bush. Several grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, and great grandnephews also survive her.

A Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 10, 2017 from 6 – 8 pm at McCauley Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 10 am at the Franklin Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the East Boone Prairie Cemetery.
