Bobby Gene Padgett was born on March 19, 1949 to his parents, James Roland and Essie Ida Padgett in Ridge, Texas.  He passed on to his Heavenly home on Sunday, October 4, 2020 in Bryan, Texas at the age of 71 years.

Bobby married his sweetheart, Mary Hall, on May 19, 1966.  Before his retirement, he was employed as a truck driver.  Bobby was a life-long resident of Marquez and was of the Baptist faith.

Bobby loved his family dearly.  He showed his love in many ways but the most important way was taking care of them.  His children and grandchildren were the pride and joy in his heart.  Bobby was a very outspoken but respected man.  He believed that truth and honesty were valuable traits that you should acquire to be successful in life.  Bobby will be missed terribly not only by his precious family but also by the many lives he touched while here on earth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Roland and Essie Ida Padgett; brother, James Fredrick Padgett; his sister, Sheila Montez Padgett and granddaughter, Stephanie Brooke Bates.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Padgett of Marquez; daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia Diane and Robby Bates of Marquez and Shelly Denise Padgett of Thornton; Sons and Daughter-in-law, Bobby Eugene Padgett, Steven Craig Padgett and Jamie Lynn and Anita Padgett all of Marquez; Brother, Roland Michael Padgett of Marquez; 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren

A private Family Graveside service will be held.
