Billy Steve Turner, 88, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Bryan, Texas. He was born on December 23, 1928 in the Bald Prairie Community to D.B. "Doc" Turner and Dora Thomas Turner. He was a graduate of Franklin High School. He married Zelda Black Turner on September 11, 1948 in Houston, Texas. Mr. Turner was retired with the Houston Police Department after 28 years of employment. Mr. Turner was a resident of Houston for thirty years before retiring 40 years ago. He was a member of the Franklin Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his sister, Alta Rea Reagan and brother, Delton Turner.
He is survived by:
Wife – Zelda Turner of Franklin
Daughters and Sons-in-law – Sharon and Roy Carrigan of Franklin
Rhonda and Jerry Stover of Franklin
Son and Daughter-in-law – Gary and Mindy Turner of Franklin
6 Grandchildren – Wendy Tucker of Franklin, Amy Goodsell of Southlake, Jessica Tyler of Mansfield, Lori Turner of Calvert, Shelley Davis of Keller and Courtney Stover of Franklin
11 Great Grandchildren
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 10:00 A.M.
At the Franklin Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Bald Prairie Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Franklin Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice Brazos Valley.
