Billy Joe Goodson was born on May 3, 1959 in Amarillo, Texas to his parents, Billy Gene and Tommie Osburne Goodson.  He entered into eternal life on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at his home at the age of 61 years.

Joe married Pamela Goodson on September 23, 1983.  He was employed with Bryan Construction Company for the past forty-one years.   Joe had been a resident of Groesbeck for the past four years previously living in Franklin.

Joe's family described him as simple, genuine, patient but also strong.  He was a wonderful husband, father and the father that he didn't have to be.  Joe loved to fish in his spare time and was a fan of football.  He was very patriotic and loved his country.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Pamela Goodson of Groesbeck; son, Tommy Goodson of Marble Falls; daughter and Son-in-law, Natasha Morris and husband Bryan of Franklin; parents, Billy Gene and Tommie Goodson of Turkey, Texas; sisters, Twila Carter and husband Ronnie of Cole Hill, Arkansas and Theresa Clinton and husband Gary of Silverton, Texas; brothers, Johnny Goodson and wife Janice of New Iberia, Louisiana and Larry Goodson and wife Christie of Joplin, Missouri; 4 Grandchildren: Cody Goodson, Justin Goodson, Reagan Morris and Cailie Morris

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Franklin Fire Department Station 2 at 12:00PM.
