Barbara Rowena Hurley, the daughter of Oliver and Minnie Curby was born on May 12, 1938 in Freer, Texas.  She entered eternal life with her family by her side on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the age of 82.

Rowena was a Franklin High School graduate.  She married Lee Scott Hurley on October 12, 1957in Ridge, Texas.  She owned and operated Rowena's Daycare for over 20 years before her retirement.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin and was a resident of Franklin for 70 years.

Rowena was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Minnie Curby; Husband, Lee Scott Hurley and brother, Harold Ray Curby.

She is survived by her Children, Leigh Ann Young and husband Ralph of Tarpon Springs, Florida; Bill Hurley and Wife Paige of Lawrenceville, Georgia; Barbara White and husband Jay of Bremond and Joe Hurley of Franklin; Brother, Roy Curby of New Baden; 7 Grandchildren, Johnathon White and wife Sarah, Jacob White and Fiance Hannah, Mary Aultman Hurley Weldon and husband Jacob, Joshua White, Molly Reed, Anna Claire Hurley and Jonah White; 3 Great Grandchildren, Carson Crowley, Carli Crowley and Kreed White.  She is also survived by brother and sister-in-law, John and Jo Ann Hurley and Janet Curby of Australia; special friends of the family: Yvonne Boring, Anne McClellan, Audrey Cotton, Maudie Barnett, Alpha Dooley and Margaret Vanderford.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Shunte, Sheila, Kim and Cne for the amazing loving care they gave our Mother the past few months.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
