Alma Ione Morgan was born on February 3, 1925 in the Willow Creek Community in Robertson County, Texas to Floyd and Alma Milstead Turner.  She passed away at her home in Franklin on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the age of 93 years surrounded by her family.

Ione was a graduate of Franklin High School and Hardin Simmons University in Abilene.  She married Travis T. Morgan on August 7, 1959 at the Bald Prairie Baptist Church.   She was employed with Franklin I.S.D. as a school teacher for 34 years before her retirement.

She was a member of the Henry Prairie Baptist Church and was a resident of Robertson County most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by:

Husband of 59 years – Travis T. Morgan of Franklin

Son – Michael Travis Morgan of Franklin

Services will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Henry Prairie Baptist Church. Rev. Louie Walston and Rev. Dale Wells will officiate.  Burial will be in the Henry Prairie Cemetery.  A visitation will be on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
