Obituary

Adell Tribble Buchanan, affectionately known to all as "Nanaw," passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, in Franklin, Texas, at the age of 99. She was born on December 10, 1925, in Franklin to Ralph Tribble and Idella Johnson Tribble.

Adell was the heart of her family and the best grandmother and great-grandmother anyone could ask for. Her warm heart touched everyone who knew her, and she was the perfect example of a woman who knew herself. With grace, kindness, and unwavering faith, she lived her life with love and dedication to those around her.

Adell was known for her incredible sense of humor and loved making everyone laugh. Her wit and playfulness brought joy to family gatherings and made every moment spent with her unforgettable. She also never gave up on love, carrying a heart full of hope, compassion, and devotion tothe people in her life.

A devoted member of the Christian faith, Adell was cherished by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Buchanan Sr.; her sons, Gilbert Buchanan Jr. and Ivan Dale Buchanan; granddaughters, Tobey King and Kristian Buchanan, and several beloved siblings.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Stephanie Sanders (Phil) and Robert Gober (Jamie), as well as many great-grandchildren including Brandon Sanders, Kinleigh Lee, Tucker Gober, Colton Gober, Hagen Gober, Isaiah Sanders, Maeson Solis, and her great-great grandchild, Bowen Gober. Adell also leaves behind her sisters Linda Dodson, Barbara McCombs and sister-in-law, Helen Tribble, along with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Adell will be remembered for her kind heart, her dedication to her family, her sharp sense of humor, and her ability to light up any room she entered. Her warmth, wisdom, and love made her a role model and anchor for her family. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.

A funeral service will be held at McCauley Funeral Home on Wednesday at 1:00 PM; the visitation will be from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM before service.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time of loss.
